Organic certified seed for a heavy producing, main season, open pollinated variety that has stump-rooted, broad shouldered roots that grow to 7 inches long by 2 inches in diameter with flesh that is deep red-orange to the center. The smooth, tapered, fine grained roots have a fine flavor and crisp flesh. This variety has large tops and grows well in a wide variety of soils including heavy soil. This heirloom variety grows well in Alaska and is excellent when winter storage is desired.
