The compact, medium-size, firm heads are made up of dark green, crinkled outer leaves to light colored inner leaves with an excellent mild flavor. The cap leaves are heavy and tight, giving protection against adverse weather.The uniform heads are highly tolerant to tip burn. Has the best flavor when grown in cool weather making it a perfect variety for Alaska. Tolerates more cold than other varieties. Recommend seed be started as transplants, easy to transplant. Late.
