This is a tender perennial grown as an annual in Alaska. It is nicely aromatic and is in the oregano family. It has flower spikes that are pale pink and attracts bees, butterflies and beneficial insects to the garden. Use fresh or dried leaves and flowers in salads, dressings, meat, sausage, lamb dishes, beans and soups. The plants will grow to about 12 inches tall and can take up a fair amount of space.
